Our Club was Establishe in 1960, and is one of Californias oldest Clubs.

We are a Non Profit, Family friendly group that go off roading/camping all over California. We are proud to be a California 4WD association club, and seek to support them in helping Preserve our lands for use and Educate people who are new to off-road adventures.

Our Club does two fund raisers each year. Our Famous Crab and Tri-tip feed, and our newer Poker Run on Slick Rock Trail near Alpine Lake.  The proceeds from these events help us maintain our Club, our Adopt A Trail and to help and support Cal 4wd. We also donate to various other intities such as Toys for Tots.

Our Montly meetings are the 2nd Tuesday of each month at 7PM, 4WD Parts on 6622 Sampson rd. Stockton Ca.

We welcome everyone to join us in our adventures!
Our Adopt a trail
  Slick Rock
Our Adopt A Trail is Slick Rock Trail, just above Arnold Ca. in Alpine & Calaveras counties. The trail is 6.3 miles long, and you can travel the trail in any direction exiting at both ends of the trail. The technical level is 7, we recomend a minimum of 33 inch tires.

Slick Rock Road (F.R. 7N17) is a moderate to difficult 4x4 trail that begins at Lake Alpine, skirts the Carson Iceberg Wilderness and ends at Utica Reservoir after crossing multiple granite slabs, rock piles, boulders, and alpine creeks. In 2018, a reroute project added 0.75 miles and two new rock crawling obstacles to this road.

This is a 4x4 street-legal vehicle only road. No green stickers are allowed to run slick rock.
